The Problem We're Solving Current ride-hailing platforms operating in Africa often charge high commissions, offer little support to drivers, and fail to address the daily realities of both riders and service providers. For passengers, there’s often a lack of transparency, trust, and flexible payment options. For drivers, high percentages taken from each trip leave them with minimal earnings.
Our Unique Model Sabi-Ride flips the script. Instead of taking a percentage of every trip, we charge a simple daily subscription fee to drivers. This gives them the freedom to keep more of what they earn and focus on providing excellent service. It’s a win-win model designed to empower drivers while delivering affordable, reliable transport to passengers.
Tech-Driven and User-Focused Our platform uses a robust mobile application built for both Android and iOS, powered by a Django backend and PostgreSQL database. We’ve integrated Flutterwave for wallet and payment services, enabling smooth in-app transactions. Riders and drivers can top up their wallets, pay for rides, and earn points—all within the app.
Referral & Reward System Sabi Ride isn’t just a ride app—it’s an ecosystem. Through our referral program, users earn points by inviting others. When a new user books their first ride, both the referrer and referee are rewarded with points that can be used for future rides. This incentivizes growth and builds community organically.
Ride-to-Earn & Sabi Cash We’re pioneering a Ride-to-Earn model, where drivers and passengers earn points based on ride distance and engagement. These points can later be converted to Sabi Cash—our native digital currency, deployed on the Polygon blockchain. Users will be able to stake, swap, or use their Sabi Cash in-app or across other dApps.
